Trompe l'oeil
    This style of decorative painting creates the illusion of moldings and other
    architectural elements.  The wall is flat, and the painted lines create the illusion
    of depth and shadow.  The inset photo below shows this same section of wall
    early in the restoration process.  We are able to both restore and create from
    scratch these types of decorations.
